      FOREIGN INVESTMENT

There are two main ways to invest in Colombia and become eligible for a visa.

      INVEST IN REAL ESTATE

Real estate in Colombia is a great investment opportunity, especially in Medellín. The city is experiencing tremendous growth, is very tourist-friendly, and continues to attract foreigners for its pleasant weather and friendly, welcoming people.

As with any kind of investment anywhere in the world, investing in Colombia requires due diligence before making a real estate purchase. After you’ve found your dream property, it’s important that a certified professional review the status of the property through a proper title search. This will be the first step in a process that will ultimately end with your name on the title.

We can provide a professional and thorough title search process. Each step will be handled by a specialized bilingual professional who you will always have direct communication with and receive prompt replies to any questions. We promise you’ll feel safe and comfortable making an investment in a country where foreigners don’t always know the rules and language.

      INVEST IN A COMPANY

Creating a company in Colombia is a formal process with numerous steps. We specialize in this field, and offers a package of services that can help you successfully navigate each requirement.

The process will be led by a commercial lawyer who will create the company and register any brands, logos, slogans, and names. You’ll also receive support from a tax lawyer who will guide you on the complex road of Colombia taxes and minimize any risk of future tax complications.

      MIGRATION

We offer four different kinds of migration support.

      OBTAIN A FOREIGNER VISA

Colombia has three (3) types of visas:

      • Visitor (V): Granted for short periods of time.
      • Migrant (M): Usually granted for three years, and subcategories include the spouse, work, investment, student, and pensioner visa.
      • Resident (R): Usually granted for five years, this visa is perfect if your long-term goal is to become a Colombian citizen.

Each visa service includes full support for obtaining the required Cédula de Extranjería (foreigner ID card).

      BECOME A COLOMBIAN CITIZEN

Becoming a Colombian citizen is an important step for foreigners who decide to stay in the country. Our firm offers a comprehensive service that will guide you on this journey, including ensuring that you meet all the application requirements as well as offer advice on the tax implications that come with this decision.

      RESTORE COLOMBIAN NATIONALITY

Some Colombians decided to give up their nationality as a requirement to achieve a new one, and sometimes they regret it afterwards. We can support people in the process to successfully regain their Colombian nationality.

      EXTEND YOUR CURRENT VISA

If your current visa status in Colombia has become illegal because you’ve stayed beyond your authorized time, we will assist you in the process of regaining legal status.

      ADDITIONAL SERVICES

These our some of the additional services we offer.

      CREATE A WILL

Some investors in Colombia are concerned about what will happen to their investment in the event of their death. Our firm offers complete legal advice on this topic and will provide options and guidance to ensure that their investment will be successfully inherited.

      OPEN A BANK ACCOUNT

Foreigners who have decided to stay in Colombia for an extended period will often want to open a national bank account. In many cases they will get denied because the applicant doesn’t have a Cédula de Extranjería (foreigner ID card). However there are special cases where you can open a bank account without one. We will evaluate the situation, and if you meet a list of special requirements, we will assist you in the whole process.

      GET MARRIED

Besides the perfect weather, abundant recreation options, and the friendly Colombian people, some foreigners fall in love and decide to share their lives together. We will guide you on the process of marrying a Colombian.

      CONTACT SERVICE PROVIDERS

We can solve any problem that may arise with a Colombian service provider such as EPM, UNE, TIGO, Direct TV, and any other general office or entity that clients might have an issue with.

    • TESTIMONIALS

"I am a Portuguese citizen who wanted to obtain a Colombian visa, but knew the process was complicated and could take a long time. Daniela was extremely helpful with my visa process, and she was always available to answer any of my questions and concerns. Her in-depth knowledge of the Colombian visa process and her great professionalism allowed us to be really efficient, and everything ended up being smooth and surprisingly quick. I am immensely happy with the service provided by Daniela and recommend her firm for anybody looking to obtain a Colombian visa."

      TESTIMONIALS

"After interviewing three different lawyers I hired Daniela to help with my Colombia visa. Simply put, Daniela is world-class. She knows the law in-depth, attends to her clients personally, and is relentless about getting results. Although I speak Spanish I liked that she is fluent in English and could explain complex ideas any way the client prefers. I also liked that she lived and worked in the U.S. and understands that level of professional service. The results speak for themselves, as my visa was approved for three years! I would enthusiastically recommend Daniela to anyone."
